To find the correct weight distribution system, you want to try and get the tongue weight of the trailer to as close to the middle of the systems capacity as possible. This is one of the few cases where bigger is not better as too heavy duty of a system can actually cause more issue than it will solve.

Though technically not light duty, I recommend going with a Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch. This will have a 2" receiver opening and the cross tube will measure 44" across, so it will have no issues fitting the 41" frame on your 2006 E-450 chassis. The Draw Tite hitch part # 65022 is a fit for a 2003 Ford F-550 cab and chassis like what your motorhome is built on. You can verify the fit though by measuring the width of the frame. If you have a totally dead 7-way on your vehicle I'd first check all of the fuse boxes of the vehicle for trailer wiring fuses/relays and fix as needed. You can bypass the factory wiring and install a new 7-way but it will require some splicing and wiring. You'd want to first start with a 4-way so that you can get all of the lighting functions. Dexter does make a 4,000 lb axle, but unfortunately we do not carry them. I do have another option for you though. I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System, # ASR5200S04. This axle-less system has a built in suspension and brake flange. The deflection or suspension travel is 2-3/4 inches. This axle-less system is nice in that it gives you more clearance in-between your wheels.

The Curt Flat Plate Gooseneck # C65500 is a multi-fit application that can be used on a cab and chassis truck. Typically, the plate would be placed on top of the flat bed over the rear axle.
